Work

August 2022 – PresentAs part of the DevX team, I build tools and services to optimize developer experience for Speechmatics customers.

Lead developer of the Speechmatics JS SDK, a set of tools for developing speech-powered applications on all JS platforms.
Built large features for the Speechmatics Portal, a web application for managing Speechmatics accounts and projects (written in Remix).
Drove the development of the Speechmatics developer docs site using exclusively open-source tools, and offering a first-class developer experience on par with paid providers like Fern.
Built a mobile app with the team in React Native showcasing Speechmatics Voice AI capabilities.

November 2021 – August 2022On the Velocity team at Habito, I undertook projects to streamline developer tooling within the company.

Built tools for generating REST APIs and clients in Typescript from Smithy and OpenAPI definitions.
Contributed UI developments to the main website built using Purescript, and backend services in Haskell.

October 2019 – October 2021I worked on the mobile app and backend for Crisp, a fully online supermarket serving the Netherlands and Belgium.

Built several UI features in React Native, including allowing users to add products to a pending order in a single tap.
Worked with the warehouse teams to improve internal order management system UI

OpenAPI schema loader — Webpack loader for loading and parsing OpenAPI schemas into web pages
